Maritime Sales Manager  -  Singapore

TECO Chemicals AS is a specialised supplier of chemicals, equipment and consultancy services for professional cleaning of ship cargo tanks, serving the maritime sector since 1994. We supply high quality chemicals, IMO approved  & tank coating manufacturer approved in line with MARPOL regulations from our stocks and production facilities world-wide. With the IMO 2020 regulations for reduced emissions in the global maritime sector, TECO Chemicals also supply ‘IMO 2020 products’ for Scrubbers, BWTS and SCR systems. TECO Chemicals AS is expanding, and we are looking for a proactive sales and marketing manager to operate with our team out of Singapore.

Our new team member will have a challenging, varied, and exciting sales and marketing position in an international dynamic business. You will be an important part of a strong team, where everyone need to be proactive, efficient, structured and flexible. You will get a responsible position, with the target to increase our sales in all segments in the maritime sector. You need to work independently and eagerly towards different levels, departments and sections in the industry. You are a natural sales person, with a proven track record, able to convey your message and convince the listener, across cultures, languages, motivation and interest. You need to be self-running, have good communication skills, verbally and in writing for an active and close hunting for new clients in a dynamic and challenging yet growing market with large opportunities.

 Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Sales to new clients, added sales to existing clients and business development in the Asia, Pacific region.

  • Close follow up of clients, by email, web inquiries, incoming calls/mails and proactive outgoing activities in close cooperation with our operations team

  • Contribute in marketing activities, in webinars, seminars, exhibitions and a regular update of sales material, Web site, Linked in, in close collaboration with our international Sales Team

 

Qualifications:

  • Level, Bachelor degree

  • B2B and preferably maritime proactive sales, and or commercial maritime experience

  • Commercial and cultural understanding and experience (maritime sector preferred)

  • Fluent in English, verbal and written

  • Admin/CRM system knowledge

 Personal skills:

Commercial desire for new sales at all times – a hunter for results

Eager, and proactive, active on emails, phone, in meetings and with sales activities

Strong communication skills, verbal and written – a good communicator

Able to handle high tempo

Independent

Analytic and structured
